Anja Schubert studied art and design in the UK and Australia. She has worked in her own studio in her hometown of Düsseldorf since 2000, where the main body of her work is designed and created. It includes jewellery, small- and large-scale wall-mounted objects as well as sculptures. Among the many influences on her work are the landscapes of Australia and her grandfather’s fossil finds.
The objects owe their unique appeal to the detailed observation of line composition, colour and material, alongside mastery in artistic and artisan techniques, including innovative and traditional methods.
Alongside her work on designs that are entirely her own, the artist collaborates closely with clients to create individual, custom-made commissioned pieces.
